The Governing Body comprises volunteers drawn from Staff, Parents, Local Authority and co-opted members from the wider community. Governors come from a wide range of backgrounds with a diverse range of skills and expertise. Governors serve for a term of four years.

The Governing Body has a general responsibility for seeing that the school is run effectively and is providing the best possible education for its pupils. This has to be

done within a framework set by national Legislation. Governors work with the Headteacher and staff to provide a strategic direction and vision for the school,

sharing in setting the school’s aims, planning for the future and keeping a watchful

eye on performance.
